Perspectives on Incorporating a Large Language Model into a Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering Graduate Course published in BMES Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering in April 2024.
In this article, Professor David Rubenstein and Carsi Kim from the Department of Biomedical Engineering explore the impact of large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT on teaching and learning as well as how there is a need for considerations and guidelines whenever new disruptive technologies become widely available.
A Practical Approach to Incorporating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Practices into Biomedical Enginnering Undergraduate Courses published in BMES Biomedical Engineering Education in April 2024.
In this article, Professor David Rubenstein from the Department of Biomedical Engineering discusses his experiences with redesigning a mandatory BME assignment to include diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) elements and how this helped to highlight the accomplishments of diverse scholars in the field.
