Design & Teach

At CELT, our mission is to collaborate with teaching practitioners (graduate TA, postdoc, new faculty, experienced faculty, adjunct faculty, online faculty, etc.) as they develop curricula, syllabi, active learning, assessment, and evaluation strategies.

We provide training and resources for all instructors to build learning environments where students are able to succeed regardless of the modality of instruction. Overall, instructional designers apply best pedagogical practices that take into account research on learning science, student development, and inclusive teaching.

Below you will find resources that will guide you along the course development process and effective teaching strategies. You may also email celt@stonybrook.edu to request a consultation with one of our instructional designers or assessment specialists.
