SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Stony Brook University’s School of Professional Development (SPD) offers 26 graduate
degree and certificate programs and an array of new, innovative micro-credentials
in a variety of face-to-face and online formats. As a benefit to alumni, SPD will
waive the graduate student application fee. In addition, alumni can receive a 10%
discount on any Career Development (non-credit) offerings.

MOOCS AT SBU
A massive open online course (MOOC) is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as filmed lectures, readings and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions between students, professors and teaching assistants (TAs).

CLASSES FOR SENIORS
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Stony Brook University is open to all retired and semi-retired individuals who are interested in expanding their intellectual horizons in a university setting. Avenues for participation include peer-taught workshops, lectures, special events, committees, and social activities.
HSC CONTINUING EDUCATION
