POSITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CENTER:

CFNS Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs
CFNS has two fellowship programs to work on the Electron-Ion Collider activities: CFNS Postdoctoral Fellows are located at CFNS, Stony Brook full-time. CFNS-University Joint Postdoctoral Fellows spend at least 25% of their time, typically 30%-50%, at CFNS, Stony Brook, and the rest at their home institutions. CFNS-University Joint Postdoctoral Fellow Appointments:
Location: 75% Partner University and 25% CFNS, Stony Brook
Focus: Electron-Ion Collider science, detector technologies and related activities.
CFNS pays half of the base salary for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at a remote institution (University or Research Laboratory) to help seed research projects on EIC. The postdoctoral fellow spends a majority of their time at the remote institution, and a fraction of the time at CFNS, Stony Brook. CFNS provides travel support for the postdoctoral fellow for this program.

Tenure-track faculty at universities and staff members at national laboratories who are interested in partnering with CFNS to create a joint research project through a shared postdoctoral fellowship at your institution are invited to submit proposals.
