Christina earned her Bachelor’s in Business Management from Five Towns College, and went on for her Masters in School Counseling from Long Island University-Post. She has been working in Higher Education (specifically Admissions) for over 10 years. Christina has a passion for working with first generation students, as she was a first-gen student herself. She recruits in New York, specifically the five boroughs of NYC and Long Island. She enjoys assisting students in furthering their educational goals, and helping them to realize that a college education is possible for anyone. In addition, she provides both parents and guidance counselors with the knowledge and support of how to help their students reach their dreams.
As the EOP Coordinator for the University, she appreciates that Stony Brook provides a world class education to economically disadvantaged students and strives to create a diverse learning environment for all that have the opportunity to attend. Every student has their own unique experience here at Stony Brook, and she can’t wait to welcome you to campus. Go Seawolves!
Out of the office, Christina is the proud dog-mom of Lilo, her beloved French Bulldog, an avid music lover (having come from musician parents and musical background) and a hopeful traveler. She spends time cultivating relationships with her family and friends, and also enjoys the sights that Long Island has to offer. She loves the beach, nature, urban exploration, museums, fantastic restaurants, and sights to be seen; all of which Long Island and the City have to offer.
