Welcome to Stony Brook University!
All new transfer students at Stony Brook University will participate in a multi-part orientation. New Seawolf Orientation is required for all new transfer students and consists of Seawolf Foundations Online Orientation modules, participation in the advising and registration process, Seawolf Connections, a Living on Campus or Commuting to Campus Seawolf Information Session, and New Seawolf Welcome.

Seawolf Connections
Connect you with your Peer Assistant Leader (PAL) and your new peers throughout the summer. You'll have an opportunity to ask important questions and learn more about your transition into Stony Brook University. You can sign up for a Seawolf Connection in your StartSBU Portal.

New Seawolf Welcome is geared toward getting you acclimated to Stony Brook University and to introduce you to faculty, staff, and fellow students. Each student has a unique schedule of Assigned Required Workshops. All workshops can be found in SBEngaged, our online platform that houses campus events, organizations & involvement opportunities.
LEARN MORERequired Orientation Makeup Experience
Students who do not attend required programs during Wecome Week will be required to participate in the Required Orientation Makeup Experience (ROME). Students participating in ROME must make up the required program information through a series of in person and online assignments.
