SPECIAL EVENT: PANEL DISCUSSION & RECEPTION

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2023
Join us in celebrating Stony Brook University Libraries and the 60th anniversary of the Melville Library!
We are hosting a panel discussion that will delve into the transformation of our libraries over the past 60 years. 

Reception to follow, with a viewing of a special exhibition highlighting library history (Music Library hallway, level 1). All welcome; RSVP is encouraged.

Panel discussion: 1pm in the Charles B. Wang Center, Theatre
    • Welcome: T. Simeon Ananou, Vice President for the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), Stony Brook University
    • Keynote: Evviva Weinraub Lajoie, Vice Provost for University Libraries, University at Buffalo
    • Moderator: Karim Boughida, Dean, University Libraries, Stony Brook University
    • Invited panelists:  Charles W. Simpson (interim dean and director, 1999-2000); Andrew White (interim dean and director, 2010-2013); Daniel Kinney  (interim dean and director, 2013) - all Stony Brook University Libraries
