About
The Interdepartmental Doctoral Program in Anthropological Sciences (IDPAS) draws upon the strengths of faculty across multiple disciplines to address anthropological research from a broadly comparative perspective. We employ studies of living mammals, the rich archaeological and fossil records, and data on contemporary and past environments to tackle several intersecting anthropological questions:
- How do humans and nonhuman primates interact with their environments and with one another?
- How have these interactions shaped the evolution of human bodies, minds and behaviors?
- How do these dynamic processes influence development, health and fitness?
