HOLIDAY WORK - ELECTION PERIOD
CSEA, PEF, NYSCOPBA, AND PBANYS EMPLOYEES
The contractual agreements between New York State and CSEA, PEF, NYSCOPBA, and PBANYS employees provide for additional compensation (holiday pay or compensatory time) for work performed during your regular shift on holidays. Employees will continue to receive “holiday pay” for hours worked on a holiday until a “Waiver of Additional money for Holiday Work” is submitted.
During the election period, April 2, 2025, through May 15, 2025, employees have the opportunity to elect to accrue holiday compensatory time or receive holiday pay for hours worked on holidays by submitting a waiver form. The waiver, if submitted, will remain in effect until April 1, 2026. Employees may also elect to revoke any waiver of holiday compensation now in effect by filing the attached form by May 15, 2025.
