A probationary appointment is an appointment for a period of one year which must be granted to a professional employee holding a professional title in which permanent appointment may be granted when the employee is appointed to a different professional title in which permanent appointment may be granted, or when the employee is appointed to a professional title listed in Appendix A, Article XI of the Policies of the Board of Trustees.
Note: If a recommendation to reappoint or deny reappointment in the probationary title is not sent to Human Resource Service prior to the end of the probationary period, Human Resource Services is required under the Policies of the Board of Trustees to reappoint the employee to the new professional title at the same appointment status (permanent or term) as held in former title. |
