In August of 2023, procurement for Biz Library, the e-learning platform was finalized. The AVP for People, Culture & Engagement and BizLibrary's Client Success team began meeting to map out the implementation plan.
In September 2023, a new Director for Culture & Organizational Development was hired. In the first few weeks, the team decided to change the name to Training & Organizational Development to reflect the greater focus needed on training and development. Implementation meetings with Biz Library continued and the plan for a soft launch was proposed.
In October 2023, after meeting with stakeholders, BizLibrary curated a wide range of courses for administrative staff including customer service, business writing, time management and communication skills. Central HR was also announced as the soft pilot group, with subject matter experts contributing to course offerings to support each HR unit.
An eight-week soft launch kicked off in November 2023 with central HR. 70 learners were granted access to the platform during the pilot. 57% of the group logged in and participated in the learner modules. 100% of the users surveys were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with the functionality, ease of navigation and course offerings.
