Stony Brook has many resources to help students succeed both academically and personally. These resourses are available to any student, regardless of their registration status with SASC.
SASC encourages registered students to make use of these services during their time at SBU.

TimelyCare is a new telehealth platform that provides 24/7 free virtual access to medical and mental health services as well as health coaching, right from your mobile device or computer. This service is open to all Stony Brook undergraduate or graduate students, taking online or in-person classes.
- Medical: 24/7, on-demand access to a medical provider that can treat a wide range of common illnesses such as a sore throat, earache, cold and flu symptoms, sinus infection, allergies and more.
- Scheduled Medical: scheduled appointments to speak to a medical provider of your choice at a time convenient for your schedule.

The Center for Prevention and Outreach provides students and the campus community with prevention, early intervention, education and outreach services around the public health concerns impacting college students, including but not limited to, substance abuse, mental health and sexual and interpersonal violence.

The Survivor Advocate & Prevention Specialist provides confidential support to Stony Brook students who experience any kind of sexual or relationship violence, including domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
The Survivor Advocate & Prevention Specialist can provide you with support and connect you to resources both on and off campus, such as assisting you with obtaining medical care, psychological counseling and other services that will help you heal.

Students frequently work with the Student Support Team if they exprience a loss in their family or community, a personal medical emergency or illeness, or an unforseen financial emergency.

The Academic Success and Tutoring Center provides no-cost course based and skill oriented peer tutoring. Students should sign up for assistance starting at the begining of the semester.

Students in other academic programs should consult with their department to identify the appropriate advisors who can assist them with their course selection and academic requirements.
Students who need to take leave from the university or withdrawal from the university should consult with the Registrar. If you are registered with SASC and need to take a disability-related leave, you can schedule an appointment to meet with your SASC counselor to discuss the request. The final request will need to be submitted and processed by the Registrar.
The Career Center assists students with locating a job on campus, career coaching, resume review, and other employment related preparation.
The Career Center also provides services for alumni looking for career support.
