Frequently Asked Questions

• Does the program offer financial aid or scholarships?
  We are unable to offer financial aid or scholarships.
• Does the program use rolling admissions?
  No, all applications submitted by the deadline are equally considered, and rendered decisions simultaneously. We typically release decisions in early-April.
• Are international students eligibile to apply?
  Yes! We are proud of our international student population and encourage all to apply. Note that you must have the ability to legally reside in the United States for the duration of the program, and we do not offer aid or letters of support for visa applications.
• Is it mandatory to live on campus for the program?
  No, students may live off-campus for the program. This is common if students are from the Long Island area. Other options include local hotels or AirBnBs with parental support. We are an exclusively in-person program, so commuting to campus must be possible.
• Can I have my letters of recommendation/transcript submitted before I submit my application?
  The confirmation email for Part 1 of the application contains links to forward to your school/recommenders to submit your transcripts/letters of recommendation. This can be done at any time before the deadline and does not require timing with Part 2 submission. 
• Can I submit my transcript/letters myself?
  No, your transcript must be submitted by a member of your school's staff or via Parchment. We do not accept self-submitted transcripts. Letters of recommendation must be submitted by the writer via our portal.
• Can I submit more than 3 letters of recommendation?
  Yes, though we require at least one from a science teacher.
• Is there transportation offered between the campus and local airports?
  No, transportation is not offered to or from campus.
