As chief executive, the president also oversees Stony Brook Medicine, Long Island’s premier academic medical center, which encompasses five health sciences schools, four hospitals, and 200 community-based healthcare settings.

President Andrea Goldsmith's new strategic plan comprises three primary sections: six compelling goals that define in broad, aspirational terms what Stony Brook is striving to achieve; 12 actions that represent the major strategic undertakings through which Stony Brook will achieve its goals; and tactics for each strategic undertaking, adding specificity to how Stony Brook will execute each action. ASPIRE 2035 is our bold vision for the decade ahead.
President's Office Hours
President Andrea Goldsmith holds office hours to set aside time to meet with Stony Brook University students. These office hours are an ideal opportunity for students to meet with President Goldsmith to share their thoughts and discuss a variety of subjects about the University.
