IN-STATE TUITION

(All veterans AND anyone using GI Bill benefits)

All Stony Brook University student veterans and military dependents eligible for VA education benefits will be charged in-state tuition.

STUDENT VETERAN LOUNGE & WORKSPACE ACCESS AND PRIVILEGES

Stony Brook University student veterans have ID card access to the Student Veteran Lounge and workspace, located on the 2nd floor of the Student Activities Center. The lounge is furnished with a kitchenette, personal lockers, TV and desktop computers, allowing student veterans to relax, study and socialize in the comfort and convenience of this fully equipped lounge located in the heart of campus.

VETERAN DISTINGUISHED ID CARD

Stony Brook University student veterans’ student ID cards will be printed with an American flag backdrop and the notable distinction of “Veteran.” Student veterans can use their ID card for easy access to the Student Veteran Lounge during normal business hours.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The Academic Advising office provides overall communication to Stony Brook undergraduates about academic advising and the evaluation of transfer credits for general education requirements.

Stony Brook University offers the opportunity to participate in the Army Reserve Officer's Training Corps (Army ROTC). Task Force Havoc began teaching class at SUNY Stony Brook in 2006 supported by the SUNY Stony Brook ROTC Club.
