My name is Yuan Cheng Wang, and you can call me Eileen. I came from Taiwan two and half years ago. Back in Taiwan, Physics, Math, and Geography were three of my favorite subjects. It's not easy to live in another country and fit in the new environment. In Cardozo High school, I tried to do my best in each area. I worked hard to improve my English. I participated many clubs, and I was also in school Math Team, Science Olympiad Team, and Arista National Honor Society. Cardozo High school is a school full of immigrant, and 40% students are Asian. I was also a president of Chinese Club which contains at least 100 members. Music is part of my life. I have learned piano for 6 years, violin for 7 years, and clarinet for three years, and also, when I was still a high school student in Taiwan, I played electric guitar in a rock band for one year. In New York, I joined the Youth Orchestra CYCNY and I played clarinet. Two years ago, we went to Beijing, Shanghai, and Taiwan to perform in National Music Center during the summer. I am a good chinese writer. Writing is also part of my life. My friends who like to read my wordssaid they can see other side of me through my words and get to know the real me. I have my own blog and I write whatever I thinkit is worth to be recorded down in my life. I will write more about myself later on. ps. I am physics major now and I am planning to change my major to mechanicalengineering. I took PHY 131 and MAT 203 (Cal 3) last semester, and now I take PHY 127, MAT 211 (Linear Algebra), and CSE 110. I dont take PHY 132 because I heard that the professor who isgoing to teachthis semester is not good. Yuan Cheng Wang. February 8, 2008
