I like the mechanics behind life. The physics that makes a car go so fast or how it is possible to have a house build partly hanging off the edge of a cliff. My 11th and 12th grade physics teacher opened my eyes to the wilds of science when he showed a film of the bridge The Galloping Girdy. Physics fascinated me like no other science had.

I am currently enrolled in the College of Engineering and Applied sciences as a mechanical engineer major. I hope to minor in physics and to pursue a career in technology, maybe working for NASA or a car company. Although I am only a freshman I have learned enough about forces and energies to know that I am interested to learn more. I look forward to the higher level classes and research labs. I am even interested in interning at a technology company one day to see a true engineer at work.
