I attend Staples High School in Westport, CT. Ever since I was very young I have been intrigued by science. After the physical sciences in middle school, I learned biology, chemistry, and physics in high school. My greatest interests are in the area of engineering and physics and hopefully I will later pursue a combination of both subjects in the future. This summer, I am currently in the Simons Fellowship Research program and participating in the Physics region of the program.

About me as a person, my hobbies include music, sports, and movies. I have played the violin ever since I was in first grade. Currently I am a member in the Stamford Young Artist Philharmonic. As for sports, I am into almost every single one. Throughout my lifetime, I have played baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, track, and tennis at a competitive level. My favorite sport to play is volleyball, and I am part of the Varsity team of my school. My favorite sport to watch is basketball, my favorite team is the New York Knicks. In addition to sports and music, I greatly enjoy and appreciate movies. In my spare time (the little that is available to me) I watch a great deal amount of movies and even plan to make some of my own with friends. My favorite movie is Taxi Driver, and my favorite actors are Humphrey Bogart and Robert De Niro.
