COUCH TO 5K
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Six-week program open to faculty/staff.
Offered twice a year, this six-week program is open to Faculty/Staff and culminates in a FREE 5k walk/run!
SEAWOLF SHUFFLE - The spring Couch to 5k starts in April and prepares you for the Seawolf Shuffle, a FREE 5K Walk/Run in early May. For more information, visit Seawolf Shuffle.
WOLFIE DASH - The Fall Couch to 5K starts in September and prepares you for the Wolfie Dash, a FREE 5K Walk/Run over Homecoming Weekend in October. For more information, visit WolfieDash.
WHAT TO EXPECT
4PM Check ins OVER ZOOM; 5PM Run/Walk on scheduled dates:
- 3/24 Monday
- 4/2 Wednesday
- 4/10 Thursday
- 4/14 Monday
- 4/22 Tuesday
- 4/30 Wednesday
These are optional! You can do this on your own if you prefer!
Weekly Zoom Meetings: Each week, we'll kick off our program with a brief Zoom check-in where we'll discuss running strategies, answer questions, and track your progress from your at-home workouts.
Group Walk/Run Sessions: After our Zoom call, we'll meet in person for a short walk or run. This is a chance to practice in a supportive group setting and build your endurance and confidence.
At-Home Practice: To make the most of the program, you'll be encouraged to complete your workouts on your own between our weekly meetings. This helps reinforce what we cover and gradually builds your stamina.
BY THE END OF THE PROGRAM
The goal is to feel comfortable completing a 5k run or walk with confidence.
