Vincent Yang is an internationally renowned physician scientist with a focus on the understanding and treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. He is also a pioneer in the cloning and characterization of Krüppel-like factors (KLFs), a group of proteins with important physiologic functions. One of the KLFs that Dr. Yang's group identified, KLF4, has gained significant attention due to its ability to convert somatic cells to induced pleuripotenti stem cells (iPSC) with remarkable therapeutic potential.
