Biography
Lianxing Wen is a seismologist (studies earthquakes), geodynamicist and planetary scientist. His research is directed toward understanding the structure, dynamics, composition and evolution of the Earth and other planets. Lianxing’s work has fundamentally changed our understanding of the structure and dynamical processes of the Earth's mantle, outer core and inner core, and the boundaries between them.
