Biography
Jules Cohen is a medical oncologist specializing in the use of hormonal treatments and chemotherapy for women with breast cancer. He has a particular interest in developing second-generation PET scans to improve early detection, monitoring and the treatment of breast cancer. In addition, he is studying chemotherapy-induced cognitive impairment (aka “chemobrain”) with the hope of developing novel treatments to prevent this unfortunate side effect. He is involved in the educational efforts of Stony Brook Medicine and contributes to clinical and didactic teaching of medical students, residents in internal medicine, and fellows in hematology and medical oncology.
