Benjamin Tausig is an expert on the topic of how political upheaval shapes musicians, their music and performance art.  Thailand’s  2010-11 “Red Shirt” movement is his special interest.  He has written about  the lives and music of Thai protest musicians and how they were  affected by the Thai military’s psychological operations unit.
