Biography
Konstantinos Spaniolas, MD, MBA, FACS, FASMBS, is a Professor of Surgery at Stony Brook University. He has extensive expertise in both primary and revisional bariatric surgery for adults and adolescents. He currently serves as the Chief of Advanced GI, Bariatric and Foregut Surgery, as well as Vice Chair of Quality and Outcomes for the Department of Surgery. Furthermore, he is the Program Director for the Stony Brook Bariatric surgery fellowship program. Dr Spaniolas completed residency at the University of Rochester, a clinical fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Dartmouth and a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
