Biography
Dr. Khan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specializes in joint replacement, and also is the Chief of the Orthopaedic Oncology division at Stony Brook Orthopaedic Associates. Due to the relative rarity of primary bone tumors in relation to other forms of cancer, there are very few fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologists practicing in the United States. Dr. Fazel Khan is the only orthopaedic oncologist on Long Island who is a full-time faculty member at an academic medical center. Additionally, Dr. Khan is extensively involved with cancer research.
