Biography
Michael Peress developed a survey-based measure of district ideology for the House of Representatives, and used it to document and study ways in which patterns of candidate positioning depart from perfect representation. In another recent paper he co-authored, he explores how voters benchmark national economic growth either rewarding or punishing incumbents.
