Biography

Matt Reuter joined the Stony Brook faculty in 2015 with joint appointments in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics and the Institute for Advanced Computational Science. His research interests are in computational nanotechnology and mathematical physics, with an emphasis on engaging undergraduate and high school students. In recent years Professor Reuter has focused on excellence in teaching, utilizing emerging technologies (such as generative AI) in the classroom, and administering a summer research experience for undergraduates (REU) program.
