Biography
Avram Gold is nationally recognized for his research into the relationship between obstructive sleep apnea and disorders of chronic stress. His practice in Sleep Disorders concentrates on patients who are aged 14 and older. Dr. Gold was the first post-doctoral fellow trained in Sleep Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He began the sleep laboratory of the DVA Medical Center - Northport, and also served as the Medical Director of the Department of Medicine’s Sleep Disorders Center before becoming the Medical Director of the SBU Sleep Disorders Center in 2010 .
