Writer's Residency

Wish you had a place to get away from your everyday distractions and finally finish that manuscript? Now you do.

Spend 12 days in the seclusion of your own room wrestling with your work-in-progress. When you need a break or inspiration, the Southampton Writers Conference is there for you. Catch readings and craft talks with some of the best authors in the country, chat with other participants, then head back to your room for more time with your pages.

As part of the residency program, you have access to all the Writers Conference has to offer, aside from faculty-led writing workshops. Many of our students choose to take a workshop in one session, and either before or after that, stay for a 7-day residency.
