Solidarity Hours

Graduate students in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies introduced solidarity hours in response to the results of the 2016 election. As graduate students and instructors at this university, we know that many Stony Brook students have a range of concerns about a Trump presidency, as do many graduate students, faculty, and staff. Usually held on Wednesdays during campus lifetime (1-2 p.m.), the solidarity hours are envisioned as a safe space for discussion and campus organizing. Join us in building a community to support one another as people of color, queer and trans* people, women, Muslims, immigrants, disabled people, and everyone else who fears for their own safety and the future over the next four years.
