Biography:

Ronan plans on studying nuclear and particle physics during their time at Stony Brook. In their free time, Ronan enjoys reading and crocheting. Before becoming a Simons STEM Scholar, Ronan participated in the Math Honor Society, Computer Science Honor Society, High School Federal Reserve Challenge, and Empire State Youth Orchestra. Ronan is most excited about learning from people who are willing to share their knowledge and expertise.

Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:

“I chose to become a Simons STEM Scholar because I wanted to work with people who think differently than I do.”

What would you say to someone who is applying?:

“The people are incredible. I am always learning from the other scholars and the staff is constantly vying for our success. The program will also connect you with distinguished individuals in fields you want to work in.”
