Leading the Future:
“I want to increase the diversity in the STEM field, making the community more inclusive
to women, people of color, and people in the LGBTQIA+ community.”
Why did you become a Simons STEM Scholar?:
“I love the challenging atmosphere that pushes me to go beyond what I deemed possible
for myself, and I wanted to use it as a platform to speak and reach out to others
like me around the world, show them that it is possible because I did it, and I can
be there to help them do it too.”
What would you say to someone who is applying?:
“I would tell them not to hesitate, to go for it, go and be great. They won't regret
it, it's something that will change the trajectory of your life forever, in a good
way, and it will give them lifelong relationships.”
