Research Security Analyst
This position will provide support for the Research Security program at the university, ensuring compliance with applicable federal laws and regulations. This position triages, investigates, and responds to foreign influence related inquiries, concerns, and complaints. Acts as liaison with all internal and external customers and promotes an understanding of foreign influence issues, laws, regulations, and consequences of non-compliance. The Research Security Analyst is responsible for researching foreign influence related topics and regulation changes. Provides training and guidance on foreign influence, federal sponsor disclosure standards, insider threat awareness, and controlled-unclassified research requirements. The impact and scope of these duties, along with the auditing, and legal compliance duties, require the use of discretion and judgment on matters of significance to the mission of the university.
Sponsored Award Analyst
The Sponsored Award Analyst responsible for the full life-cycle fiscal management of the sponsor funded grant and contract awards within this position’s portfolio. As the primary contact for Principal Investigators, this position ensures the successful conduct of the financial affairs of these awards on behalf of Principal Investigators, Sponsors and The Research Foundation for SUNY, ensuring the campus maintains its status as a recipient of federal and private research funding.
Licensing Associate
The Licensing Associate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technologies, including identifying, evaluating, marketing and licensing inventions and software developed by SUNY and Research Foundation faculty and staff. The incumbent is responsible for such activities being conducted under the optimal financial and legal conditions and in compliance with the SUNY patent policy and sponsor regulations. Ideally, the successful incumbent must have a proven track record of successfully negotiating intellectual property license agreements, other complex agreements (sponsored research agreements, collaboration agreements or other complex agreements) and demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing contracts.
