Experiential Learning
The program combines expert lectures with active learning. You'll gain hands-on experience with the latest technology and participate in exercises that focus on:

- Health and wellness
At the end of the week, you’ll apply what you’ve learned by working with teammates to create an interprofessional care plan that integrates the information and skills you’ve gained.
INSTRUCTORS
Erik Flynn, MS
Erik Flynn is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program at Stony Brook University. His long-term research goal is to inform and develop science policies that improve the lives of diverse and marginalized communities.
One aspect of that overarching goal is to develop programs, train professionals, and build research programs that increase diversity in STEM fields.
Teresa Blaskopf
Teresa Ann Blaskopf is a Clinical Instructor in the Bachelor of Science in Health Science program at Stony Brook University. Teresa has been working in higher-education for over 10 years and has experience in the following areas: Student Activities, Judicial Affairs, Residential Life and Housing, and Alumni Relations. She has a passion for diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging and interprofessional education. She loves educating students about the various fields in healthcare and the wonderful opportunities that the School of Health Professions provides.
