Endowed Chair in Ecology and Evolution and AAAS Leshner Public Engagement Fellow, Professor Heather Lynch, adopts a new form of communicating her knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) to the public: writing a screenplay about AI technology with the goal of turning it into a television drama series.  Lynch’s primary motivation for this endeavor is to encourage more discussion about the uses of artificial intelligence in society. She wishes to introduce more people to the idea that AI could make an appearance in everyday life, not just limited to those developing the technology.
