FAQs
Q: Last-minute appointment? What if I am able to secure a vaccination appointment at the last minute at a pop-up pod, but it will interfere with work time?
A: The employee must request the time off before their vaccination day(s) unless a mutually agreed upon time is arranged. This is subject to supervisory discretion and operational needs.
Q: Retroactive? I received my vaccine already and charged my time— will this leave be retroactive?
A: This benefit is effective beginning March 12, 2021 and not before.
Q: Longer than four hours? What if my appointment takes longer than four hours?
A: Absence beyond the four-hour maximum time must be charged to leave credits.
Q: Does travel time count?
A: Travel time (based on travel to and from the employee’s worksite) is included in this four-hour cap.
