This six-week program culminates in a FREE 5k walk/run. The goal is to feel comfortable completing a 5k run or walk with confidence.

Get moving for this spring with Human Resources, Healthier U, the President’s Office and Alumni Affairs as they host a FREE 5K Run/Walk right here on campus in April. Kick off at 9:30am sharp, rain or shine. Line-up begins at 9am in front of the SB Union.

In this restorative workshop inspired by Katherine May’s Wintering: The Power of Rest and Retreat in Difficult Times, we explore the transformative power of embracing rest during life’s inevitable seasons of hardship.

WINTER SEED SOWING

Join Healthier U and Master Gardener Jennifer Ancona to sow seeds in the winter in recycled milk jugs.  This method allows seeds to experience natural cold stratification, which is necessary for some plants to germinate, and they will sprout naturally in the spring without the need for indoor grow lights or a heated space. Prepare to get dirty at this hands-on workshop.
