Mia earned her BA in English from St. John's University in May 2022 and is currently working toward her MA in English at Stony Brook University. Her research examines how social media forms perceptions around food and health within fitness communities. She is particularly interested in the role public figures play in shaping body aesthetics as well as changing gender dynamics across exercise trends.
