Natalie Lukas

Ms. Lukas has served as director of SUTEC since 2008. She is a member of our NYC faculty working with students in the SUNY Urban Teacher Education Program who opt to intern in NYC schools. She is a former NYC teacher who has been able to connect students with job opportunities and encourage them to become part of the professional program to continue mentoring future teachers. Ms. Lukas has also worked as a consultant in struggling schools, mentoring faculty and introducing new methods and curricula. She has spoken at numerous workshops, written for both NYC and SUNY campus newspapers, and has received many awards over the years. Those awards include the Spirit of Achievement award from Junior Achievement and the Apple Award from Mentoring, USA.
