Michael Jannace has worked at Sachem High School East in Farmingville, NY since 2007. He teaches Social Studies with a focus on A.P. World History, Global History 9 & 10 Regents, and Global History ENL. He is constantly looking for new ways to make his classroom more student-centered, interactive and engaging. He strives to learn new things and adapt to the ever-changing needs of the 21st century classroom. He is also an adjunct-instructor at Stony Brook University, where he teaches a Social Studies Methods Course to undergraduates. Michael graduated in 2006, summa cum laude, from Stony Brook University, where he earned a B.A. in History and his NYS Initial Certification In Secondary Social Studies, grades 7-12. He went on to earn a Professional Certification and an M.S. Ed. in School Counseling at Alfred University and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership through Stony Brook University.
