Joe Ambrosio

Joe is a graduate of New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has been involved in the electric and hybrid electric vehicle industry for 27 years and has worked closely with electric utilities, vehicle manufacturers and technology development organizations. He has been awarded 11 US patents in this subject area.

Currently, Joe is the CEO and President of Unique Electric Solutions (UES) a NY-Based manufacturer of electric vehicle propulsion and energy storage systems. Joe and his team at UES are currently focused on developing national and NYS-based EV/HEV fleet programs such as all-electric delivery trucks with United Parcel Service (UPS), Amazon, the largest school bus companies in NYC and many others.

Joe has been active with a variety of programs at Stony Brook University, such as CIEES, CEBIP, an AERTC tenant and an SBU research partner on many federal/state grant funded programs.
