Steven DeCarlo

Steve is a senior leader with extensive corporate and field experience in the production and transmission of electricity, with diverse leadership experience in business development, operations, maintenance, engineering, and asset management, as well as representing the company in public, professional, government and regulatory agency matters.  He has developed deep expertise creating long term strategies and new technology architectures, building increased transmission capacity, optimizing existing assets, lowering risk profile, and ensuring efficient operations—and delivered a strong record of driving high value operational results.  Steve has broad power industry technical and regulatory knowledge in hydro, transmission, and distribution, and familiarity with nuclear, gas, and renewable generation sources.  Of tremendous value is his consistent ability to build high performance, empowered teams, and ensure strong internal communications that creates an “ownership culture” throughout all levels.

Following a 28-year career at New York Power Authority, Steve is currently the Director of Utility Services at Colliers Engineering & Design (formerly Maser Consulting), leading specialized in-house staff toward exploration opportunities in the Energy sector as part of the continued expansion and diversification initiative of this full-service, multi-disciplined engineering and consulting firm.
