Jeehye Yun is CEO and Founder of RedShred, a text analytics company focused on document understanding
and making information accessible as documents as a database. RedShred uses machine
learning and natural language processing to find, read and extract relevant information
from complex document sources so developers and data scientists can develop downstream
applications. She has raised over $7MM in early stage investments through a combination
of SBIRs and private investment.
Prior to RedShred, she was founder of SSG, which performed Independent Verification
and Validation of legacy and complex web-enabled systems, Information Systems Security
Analysis and Integration and Enterprise Content Management Integration for customers
like National Geographic, NGC/Fox TV and the US Marine Corps. She was previously
Director of Computing Facilities at the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced
Computer Studies (UMIACS) and was a UMBC CSEE, Lecturer for Advanced Topics in Computer
Security.
She has been awarded a patent for document information extraction and a UMBC Alumni
of the Year Award in Information Technology, 2013.
