This module equips college students with the confidence and strategies to negotiate salaries effectively and understand employee benefits. It includes hands-on activities, real-world examples, and interactive role-playing to ensure students feel prepared to enter the workforce and advocate for fair compensation.

Module Activities

- Research salaries for their intended careers using tools like Glassdoor, Payscale, or/and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Draft a professional email responding to a job offer with a salary counteroffer.
- Students are paired in employer-candidate roles and engage in live salary negotiations.
- Review the list of benefits included in a typical job offer
- Complete a sample budget to include basic list of expenses
