Ben Rush attended Indiana University- Bloomington for his undergraduate and master’s degree. He recently graduated with his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 8th grade and all throughout his academic career, Ben composed music and produced audio. He started podcasting in 2020, which led to the creation of the Deeper Than Data podcast, the Badger Talks Podcast, and Deeper Than Data Media. He uses his knowledge of the scientific process within academia, audio skills, and experience teaching graduate students improv to communicate the human experience in science. His goal now is to help scientists of all backgrounds learn how to use podcasting for science communication, outreach, and bringing their humanity to science.
