Mr. Hamilton is the Senior Center Director for Energy Innovation at the Stony Brook University Office for Research and Innovation. He oversees the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) and Center in Integrated Electric Energy Systems (CIEES) while fostering their growing list of incubator startup companies and strengthening collaborations with industry partners. 

His education includes a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University and a MBA in Marketing from Hofstra University. He brings a focus in clean energy technologies with experience in business development, commercialization of engineering technologies, marketing and sales, as well as an ability to communicate well with early stage entrepreneurs in the clean energy arena. 

Mr. Hamilton started his professional career with the Long Island Lighting Company managing independent power producers. From there, he has been involved in the design, development and implementation of Sirius Satellite Radio's terrestrial transmitters, developing sales and marketing plans for aerospace and IT companies, managing the sales and operation of hydrogen fuel cells for Plug Power, and most recently developing the commercial sales and marketing for EmPower Solar, a leading Long Island turnkey solar provider.
