Fang Luo, PhD

Fang Luo, PhDFang Luo (Senior Member, IEEE) was an Assistant Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA, from 2017 to 2020, and a Research Assistant Professor with The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA, from 2014 to 2017.

He is currently an Empire Innovation Associate Professor and the Director of Spellman High Voltage Power Electronics Laboratory, Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA. He holds two U.S. patents and has authored/coauthored more than 50 journal articles, 100 peer-reviewed conference papers, and one book. His research interests include high-power-density converter design, high-density electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter design and integration, and power module packaging/integration for wide bandgap devices. Dr. Luo was a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award.

He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and International Transactions and Director of the Spellman High Voltage Power Electronics Laboratory at Stony Brook University.
