Mentee Spotlight: Lana Gouda ‘26
Recent graduate and mentee Lana Gouda was awarded the 2026 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence (CASE). As described by SUNY, this award is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a student by the University. It recognizes SUNY students who have successfully incorporated SUNY excellence into various aspects of their lives, including academics; leadership; diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice; research & development; campus involvement; civics & service, and the arts (creative or performing).
Alumni Spotlight: Morgan DiCarlo ‘16, PhD
Morgan DiCarlo ‘16, PhD was chosen as this year’s Stony Brook University 40 under Forty honoree for her outstanding accomplishments in civil engineering. Highlights include receiving the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Bronze Medal for Commendable Service and being selected as one of America’s 10 New Faces of Civil Engineering in 2024.
