Reporting Changes

J-1 scholars are required to keep their information accurate and up to date throughout their program. This includes reporting changes to your contact information, program details, and dependent status within the required timeframes.

Timely reporting is essential to maintain your J-1 status. If you are unsure whether a change must be reported, contact Visa and Immigration Services (VIS) before taking any action.
