The ABCs emerged from a collaborative process President Andrea Goldsmith launched to envision Stony Brook’s future and define our ambitions for the decade ahead. Shaped by town halls, focused discussions and conversations across the University and broader community, they provide the foundation for ASPIRE 2035.

Build new facilities to support our research and education mission, build our faculty and student populations to educate more New Yorkers and to advance the frontiers of knowledge in more dimensions, and build on Stony Brook’s successes to further elevate our excellence and impact.  

Catalyze 

Leveraging our research excellence and remarkable people to ignite innovation, entrepreneurship and economic growth, from Manhattan to Montauk and throughout the great state of New York.
